“In Memory Of”
Community Mural to Honor those who have died of COVID-19
Southside artist Alex! Jimenez and potter Paloma Jaqueline will be constructing a large memorial to those who have died from COVID-19. They are asking the southside community to create clay tiles in memory of a loved one who has passed. These tiles will be gathered and assembled into a final public display in June of 2023.
**Please note: Participants will only be working with the unfired clay. The artists will handle firing and painting the pieces in order to keep colors within the palette for the mural**
