Join us on Tuesday, September 20th when we will walk and roll the The Loop, Santa Cruz River Park.
Starting at West Starr Pass Blvd, we’ll cross the bridge and set out in the northerly direction on the western side of The Loop, returning on the eastern side. This route is walker and wheelchair accessible, fully surfaced, and mostly flat with a few moderate elevation changes.
The distance of this route is just under two miles, and we’ll take a café break for coffee, tea, and snacks (self-pay) at the outdoor courtyard café in the Mercado Annex, which is the midpoint of the route. Toilets are available at the parking area and at the Mercado Annex. If you choose to exit the loop at the midpoint, your options include gravel or stairs.
We’ll meet in the public parking lot, adjacent to Desert Survivors Native Plant Nursery, 1020 W Starr Pass Blvd (Note: please do NOT park in the nursery’s parking lot; use the public lot immediately west of the nursery.)
Walk & Roll is facilitated by the Health and Wellbeing Committee of Southern Arizona Senior Pride. If you have questions, please call Rick Fendrick at (520) 900-2120.
